Long story short, Alicia Keys made some wreck less comments in Blender Magazine. She basically said Gangsta Rap was a governmental conspiracy. To be fair, the lovely Alicia Keys did release a statement, clarifying her remarks. Someone asked 50 Cent what he thought of her comments. His response, "I don't like Alicia Keys no more...I don't like people who don't like me." Well, he didn't tell us anything we didn't already know. The problem with Hip-Hop, as a whole, is it's just not as good as it used to be. Biggie & Tupac were hot, because back then, you had to be good, or go home...and they were the best. Now, all you need is street cred, a gimmick, & enough pull at your label, to make them buy 100,000 copies of your cd. Everyone wants to be #1, or in 50's case, #2. Don't get me wrong, I like some of his songs, but I'm sick of him doing the same thing over & over again. He got shot 9 times, he used to sell drugs, & he'll beef with anyone, sprinkle in a few b*itches & hoes, & you have the gist of every one of his albums.
Hey 1/2 Dollar, do us all a favor & sit your ass down! Going after artists like Alicia Keys, Ja Rule, or members of Roc-a-Fella, doesn't mean a damn thing, if you don't have the balls to go after someone like Jay-Z. Getting shot 9 times doesn't mean you're tough. It means you're ignorant ass forgot how to run that day. Stick to what you're really good at...taking that shirt off & showing us how well your steroids work.Smooches,
Ms. Hater
